| In1994 the
US Department of Defense approved a Chiropractic Demonstration Project. Three
years later the results were measured, documented and reported to Congress. The
positive outcomes persuaded Congress to make chiropractic a permanent service
for the active duty personnel. This also influenced the passing of a Veteran's
Administration bill that added chiropractic care for all veterans though the VA
hospital system.
The Chiropractic Diplomatic Corps has notified
the DoD of the need for a full-time Director of Chiropractic to supervise the
ongoing development and research opportunities from these delivery sites. We
also indicated our ability and desire to provide DC recruitment when foreign
bases begin to add DCs to their healthcare staffing. |
